1. Who we are

AI Stew is a free email newsletter operated by J1 Media Productions LLC, an Arizona limited liability company. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have.

Questions? Reach us at [email protected] or by mail at the address above.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you give us

  • Email address (required to subscribe)
  • First name (optional, used in personalization)
  • Any other field you fill in on our signup forms

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you open an issue or click a link, our email service provider (GoHighLevel, Inc.) records:

  • Open events (which issues you opened)
  • Click events (which links you clicked, including affiliate links)
  • Device + IP-derived approximate location (city/country level)
  • User agent (browser, OS)

When you visit aistew.net we may set functional cookies only (e.g. for the signup form). We do not currently run third-party analytics or advertising cookies on aistew.net.

2.3 Information from third parties

If you sign up via a partner platform (e.g. a YouTube link description, a social ad), we may receive limited referral information (e.g. UTM source).

3. How we use your information

We use the information described above to:

  1. Deliver the newsletter you signed up for (contract performance)
  2. Improve content by understanding which sections perform (legitimate interest)
  3. Track affiliate-link performance so partner programs can credit referrals back to AI Stew
  4. Comply with the law — for example, honoring opt-outs and responding to legal requests
  5. Communicate operational changes (delivery problems, policy updates)

We do not:

  • Sell your personal information to anyone, ever
  • Share your email with affiliates, sponsors, or third parties for their marketing
  • Use your data to train AI models

4. Affiliate disclosures and affiliate tracking

AI Stew includes affiliate links in some issues. When you click an affiliate link:

  • The affiliate program (e.g. Castos, Frontend Masters, Teachable, Skool) may set their own tracking cookie on your browser as part of their referral system
  • If you sign up or purchase via that link, AI Stew may earn a commission at no extra cost to you
  • We never receive your name, email, payment information, or any personal data from those programs unless you specifically share it with them under their privacy policy

Every issue marks affiliate sections with the words "Affiliate Link", includes a top-of-email disclosure, and uses the W3C rel="sponsored" attribute on every affiliate URL.

We follow the FTC Endorsement Guides, including the rule that we only feature tools we actually use.

5. Service providers we use

We share information with the third parties below only as needed to run the newsletter. Each is contractually required to protect your data and not to use it for their own purposes.

9. Children

AI Stew is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no industry-wide standard for honoring DNT, so we do not respond differently to it. We do not run cross-site tracking on aistew.net.

11. Cookies

aistew.net uses only strictly necessary cookies required for the signup form to function. We do not currently set analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and, where required, present a cookie consent banner.

Email clients (Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail) may render tracking pixels embedded by GoHighLevel — see Section 2.2. You can disable image loading in your email client to block these.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The Last updated date reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be announced in a subsequent issue.
